Hello folks !

I guess that you already know it but I really love London. I love it so much that I have been there in november, and will go there again in january. I also went there in June.  (*^▽^*) Maybe I should live there.

Photo taken in November 2018, when I went to the national theatre to see the wonderful musical Hadestown, because I’m not only into shopping !

London is not only a beautiful city, it’s also a paradise for vintage fans like me. So here is my list of favorite shopping places in London !

Did everyone made their Harry Potter photo ? Yes ? So let’s go !

What Katie Did

Let’s start with underwear. This way you will be able to get a complete outfit.

Yes I know, I talk about it all the time. It’s my favorite lingerie brand since 2008, it’s What Katie Did ! So it has become a mandatory visit in all of my London trips.

Because retro lingerie is the spirit of retro looks, don’t hesitate for a second. What Katie Did makes quality lingerie and stockings, in a real authentic style. If I love it so much, it’s for reasons.

It’s a very beautiful shop, with an adorable staff team. Don’t hesitate to ask them if you have any question, or if you are not sure of your size, they will give you great advice.

Oh yes I almost forgot one detail : the first time you will go to the shop it might be quite difficult to find. If you have a GPS, it will show up in the middle of nowhere and you won’t find it in the street. Actually it is because it is inside a small shopping center called Portobello Green Market, which is a bit hidden due to the numerous stands in the street.

Underground : Ladbroke Grove

The Revival Retro Boutique

THE place to be for reproduction clothing if you are like me into authentic style !
They have their own range, but also sell your favorite brands such as Miss Candyfloss, Stop Staring, House of Foxy and Royal Vintage shoes.

A really beautiful shop, full of quality items and an adorable team.

Underground : Tottenham Court Road or Goodge Street

Vivien Of Holloway

This time it’s the place to be if you are into more modern and colorful pin up style. Even if there are still some authentic looking pieces.
This shop sells their own range, everything made in London.
I particularly like their 40s trousers.

They have so many choice in colors and fabrics that you will not know what to buy !

Like Revival Retro and What Katie Did, their products are of great quality and the staff is super nice.

Brick Lane Market

If you’re looking for true vintage pieces, for men or women, Brick lane is a gold mine. Imagine a labyrith full of vintage sellers, open 7 days a week ? It exists !

Also if you go there on weekends, you can also see the street market. Don’t forget to take a look in the numerous vintage shops in the area.  And also why not visit Dennis Severs House and the Old Spitalfields market ?

Underground : Liverpool Street

Old Spitalfields market

Not far away from Brick Lane, this is more of a small business market. You will also find numerous small restaurants which are great because they are all different. You should try !

Booths are not the same all the time, and you can find interesting artists and designers. I greatly appreciate Spitalfields. you can get there from the Liverpool Street underground station.
Usually we go to the Old Spitalfields market and Brick Lane at the same moment, as they are only a few minutes away.

Jubilee Market

Here you will find a lot of different vintage items. If you’re looking for a watch, art deco cufflinks or an old phone you’re in the right place. The Jubilee Market is a vintage market in Covent Garden.

Portobello Road

You have heard about it at least once for sure, as the Portobello Road market is the biggest antique market in the world, with over 1000 sellers. Take a look to it after getting new lingerie from What Katie Did.

There are also nice vintage shops in the area. I advise you to have a couple of hours of time ahead, because there is a lot to see.

It is a nice chic neighborhood.

Camden Town

Another emblematic area, Camden Town. Where many alternative cultures are born, but also a great place for vintage, talented craftsmen and other independent designers. Of course there are also some Made in China stores like Collectif which I won’t recommend because there are so many shops that are way better than that.
You can easily get lost in the corridors (it takes several years of experience to know the place perfectly), so don’t try to look for a specific shop, just walk around and you will discover many nice things.

After this, you may want to go to the Cheese Bar ! What, no ? Go for bangers & mash !
